Deb Klessens was born and raised in a very small town in eastern Montana.
There she graduated from high school in 1979 and attended Eastern Montana College (MSU Billings). In 1984, Deb graduated with a B.S. Degree
in Elementary Education, with a concentration in Early Childhood studies.
She was hired by the Joliet Public Schools in the fall of 1984 and taught Kindergarten there for 24 years. In that time she also taught other grade levels, but always held a part time kindergarten position. Deb met the love of her life, married and had four wonderful children: Matthew, Adam, Peter and Abigail.
In 2008 Deb and her family moved to Cody as her husband, James, accepted a position with Forward Cody in economic development. Three of their children entered into the Cody public school system and their daughter entered preschool at St. Anthony's.
For 3 years Deb was a full time Mom, received a substitute certification, did some subbing and attained her Wyoming teaching certification. In the spring of 2011 the opportunity to step into the position as the St. Anthony's preschool teacher/director became available and Deb jumped at the chance to be back in the classroom. It has been a rewarding challenge for her to be back with these little people. Every day is a new adventure.
